Superman #20
SCORE: 61
If you remember reading my reviews on some earlier Superman comic
books you will remember that I said I would come back to this series
when Doomsday came back. In fact there was a preview in one of the
Superman comic books about it. Guess what? The time is now. Superman #20
is where Doomsday comes back and the whole story concept is a little bit
interesting - at least it is to me. There are also some horrible things
in Superman #20.
Superman #20 cost me $4.99. There are twenty-two pages of comic book
content within Superman #20. There are also four pages of a preview of
Two-Face #1. Honestly that Two-Face comic looks horrible. I am not a fan
of the artwork in that preview. The art in Superman #20 is just fine.
The issues families can have with Superman #20 are violence, blood,
evolution, false gods, gore, lack of attire, enticement to lust, and
more.
There will be spoilers in my review of the Superman #20 comic book. Time
Trapper is a much thinner and older looking Doomsday that wants the help
from Superman. Every single time Doomsday dies he comes back stronger.
He has now a reached a point where he can no longer die. Or at least he
has not found anything or anyone that can kill him. So he wants Superman
to kill him so he can come back stronger. This is a far future Doomsday
too.
Superman and other heroes must fight off Doomsday in the present in
Superman #20. Parasite comes down and helps by sapping some of the power
of Doomsday. Then Doomsday rips Parasite in half. Superman loses it and
comes close to something bad in Superman #20. I am not versed on what
that is. Doomsday is sedated and removed. There are supposed to be even
worse things on the horizon according to the future Doomsday.
The story telling in Superman #20 has piqued my curiosity. I am
wondering where this will go and what will happen. Can't they send
Doomsday into the sun or something? The DC Nation Spotlight in Superman
#20 is on the All In storyline going through DC Comics. I am not a fan
of the blood, and gore in Superman #20. I am also not big on the few
pages for the price of the Superman #20 comic book.
