Superman #864
SCORE: 64
I just noticed the legacy numbering system on this comic book, and
decided to swap over to that. Superman #864 also has Superman #21 on it.
The cost of the Superman #864 comic book was $4.99. There are twenty-two
pages of comic book content within Superman #864. There are three one
page interludes that count in that twenty-two pages. There are also
advertisements throughout the Superman #864 comic book.
There will be spoilers in my review of the Superman #864 comic book. The
issues families can have with Superman #864 are violence, blood, false
gods, evolution, and more. Superman #864 is way more toned down than the
last comic book which is a really good thing. Superman #864 feels like a
breath of fresh air. I learned a bit more about Superwoman in Superman
#864. I also learned about the issue with Superman going red.
The whole concept behind Superman #864 is Clark and Lois (aka Superman
and Superwoman) going on a date. They talk about things and get
interrupted many times. There is conversation about Doomsday, Time
trapper, and more in Superman #864. The whole concept that Superman
might be immortal was interesting in Superman #864. I know other
Superman entertainment has touched on this topic as well.
Lois stops a war by having both sides talk it out. A trade agreement is
reached and then everyone is happy. The interludes were very interesting
and two of them were about different couples. There is one about
Doomsday. What does Doomsday dream about? Doomsday dreams about
destroying Superman in Superman #864. I liked the couple pages better in
Superman #864 personally.
The shock ending in Superman #864 is quite the surprise. Aftermath shows
up and grants the Earth one hour to hand over Doomsday. They are what is
left of different worlds that Doomsday destroyed. I suppose they want
revenge, but they might want to use Doomsday. I am unclear on what their
motives are in Superman #864. I see no reason to keep Doomsday and leave
the Earth in trouble from a massive alien invasion.
