The Chosen Season 4

There is a definite turn and change of the tone in The Chosen Season 4. There are eight episodes that last between fifty-seven and eighty-five minutes in The Chosen Season 4. I feel like The Chosen Season 4 was also at a much faster pace than the previous seasons. There is some good news about that as well. Please be aware that spoilers will be a part of my review of The Chosen Season 4.

I loved the parts in The Chosen Season 4 about the disciples learning, discussing and debating things. Jesus is struggling with his disciples not learning what he is teaching at times in The Chosen Season 4. The disciples are stuck on when he will come in his glory with the angels to take control of the world. The disciples expect this of Jesus in The Chosen Season 4. There are some getting dismayed at it not happening.

Simon becomes Peter in The Chosen Season 4. Different characters struggle with that. Matthew asks Peter for forgiveness in The Chosen Season 4. There is such an amazing and wonderful moment when Peter finally grants the forgiveness. Peter certainly struggled with it in The Chosen Season 4. Jesus explained how many times he must forgive his brother. Peter is growing into a good leader in The Chosen Season 4.

Jesus starts to seriously confront the Pharisees in The Chosen Season 4. There is a moment in The Chosen Season 4 when the Pharisees try to stone Jesus. There is a bit of violence and blood in that episode. Lazarus is raised from the dead in The Chosen Season 4. Ramah dies earlier and Thomas struggles with Jesus letting her stay dead. It is a very powerful emotional moment in this television show.

The Pharisees are conspiring with Rome to get rid of Jesus since all of the people coming to Jerusalem for Passover makes the place a powder keg for rebellion. The Chosen Season 4 ends with Jesus on the donkey going toward Jerusalem. The people are getting palm branches to lay at his feet near the end as well. Things are really setting up for the fifth season. I honestly hoped this show would go longer. But it is all going toward the cross.

Jesus has been telling his followers that his death is imminent. The perfume is put on his feet to prepare him for burial in The Chosen Season 4. The range and depth of emotion continues in The Chosen Season 4. I feel so bad for some of the people in this show. The Chosen Season 4 shows the struggle at trying to understand certain things. Maybe on this side of glory they never completely understand.
