Farmagia
SCORE: 59
Have you ever played a video game and afterward realized you did not
like that experience? That is how I felt while and after I played
Farmagia. This is an odd little video game first off. Then the
implementation of it on these new and modern video game consoles feels
lacking. The issues families can have with Farmagia are violence, lack
of attire, enticement to lust, bad language, false gods, and more.
The player runs around these maze like areas with monsters at their
side. We launch the monsters to go and attack enemies. Sort of like
Pikmin or Little King's Story. Although both of those older games look
better than Farmagia. Since much of the art comes from Hiro Mashima they
remind me of Fairy Tail and Edens Zero. I was honestly really excited to
find time to play Farmagia. Then my balloon completely deflated after
playing it.
We go to a menu screen where we can talk to different characters and
learn what is happening in this world. We plant seeds that grow into
monsters in Farmagia. We then use those monsters in mindless battles in
Farmagia. There are different attacks we can perform. The main character
can walk up to the downed monsters to bring them back. Aside from moving
around to get hit Farmagia gets monotonous really quickly.
The story in Farmagia revolves around this leader dying, and the
successor taking control. One of the other characters underneath that
dead ruler decides they will rebel. This rebellious character claims the
new leader is cruel in Farmagia. Here we have another role playing video
game brainwashing gamers into distrusting the leaders and rebelling
against them. No wonder so many of the younger gamers rebel against God.
The video games teach them to do that.
I am thankful I had the money to buy a physical copy edition of
Farmagia. It came with a CD of the music, and a ninety-six page art
book. All of that is really cool, and really nice. The problem is the
game did not connect with me in any way, shape or form. So why do I care
about extra content for a game that I feel is bottom tier? I feel like
the idea in Farmagia is interesting, but the implementation was not
great.
