Fitness Circuit
SCORE: 67
Fitness Circuit sat in my pile until I had some time to play it. When
I first started playing Fitness Circuit I was extremely excited. This is
a great beginner exercise video game. Fitness Circuit also makes some
major blunders that hurts it greatly. Fitness Circuit rotates between
strength and aerobic. This is a great training method that can help
families get to a healthier lifestyle.
Where Fitness Circuit messes up is in the controls. I would hold the
Joycons exactly the way the game instructed, and move exactly the way
the trainer would say and miss every single move. I tried different hand
adjustments and sometimes found doing something different from the
trainer worked. Other times nothing I tried worked and I would fail an
exercise. It is very aggravating to do everything perfectly and the game
fails you.
I did three recording sessions of Fitness Circuit to try and get the
forty-five exercises recorded. After those three recording sessions and
leveling up the character multiple times I could not do half of the
exercises. This is where Fitness Circuit irritates me greatly. What is
the point of an exercise video game if I am not allowed to do the
different exercises right from the start?
I did some research and it looks like Fitness Circuit expected me to
play it in the daily missions for five days to unlock some stuff, ten
days for more, and twenty days for even more. I get that Fitness Circuit
expects families to only use it three to four times a week, but some of
us exercise other ways as well. I want to be able to exercise with all
of the different challenges right from the start. Or have a better flow.
For example after doing all that I get more in the game to unlock.
I can easily see why Fitness Circuit would be relegated to the bargain
bins. There is a lot of promise within Fitness Circuit. I just wish all
of the exercises registered the moves, and I could immediately do all of
the exercises. I liked the six different trainers and how they were
covered up nicely in Fitness Circuit. The music is fun but repetitive.
There are some good exercises in Fitness Circuit too.
