Sonic Racing Crossworlds #1

Those that watch my live streams, and check out the video section of the Family Friendly Gaming website know full well that I live streamed Sonic Racing Crossworlds. I saw there was this one shot comic book and decided to check it out. This comic book cost me $4.99. There are twenty-four pages of comic book content within Sonic Racing Crossworlds #1. This is better than the Sonic The Hedgehog comic books that IDW Publishing releases. The page count is not as good as what Kingstone Comics releases.

There are two credits pages in Sonic Racing Crossworlds #1. There is also a cast of characters page within Sonic Racing Crossworlds #1. There is a letter page, and the IDW View from the Back Page within Sonic Racing Crossworlds #1. The IDW View from the Back Page is an advertisement for a Godzilla role playing table top game. The kick starter for it. I shook my head in disbelief when I read about that.

There is some humor within Sonic Racing Crossworlds #1. I will include spoilers in the rest of this review. The issues families can have with Sonic Racing Crossworlds #1 are violence, evolution, and more. All of these characters are invited to an amazing race opportunity. Eggman winds up crashing the event, and the host does not really mind that much. It makes things more interesting. Eggman is trying to get rid of all of his enemies in one place.

The racing action does not make a lot of sense to me. For example Sonic's vehicle gets cut in half. We do not see him for a bit. When we see Sonic the next time he is back with Shadow and Jet again. I would think some repawn should have been shown as well as Sonic working his way back to the front of the pack. There are numerous characters that have different rivalries in Sonic Racing Crossworlds #1.

The ending of Sonic Racing Crossworlds #1 is extremely disappointing to me. There is a tie. Not a two way tie, or a three way tie either. All of the characters tie for the win at the end of Sonic Racing Crossworlds #1. The host of the race wants to get a picture but the different bitter rivalries make that a complete bust. I think they were going for some humor in the ending of Sonic Racing Crossworlds #1. I played the game and that does not happen.
