The Judges 2

I am really digging this way of reading through the Holy Bible. Do
not worry I am still reading the Holy Bible every single day. It is
interesting to experience the different parts of the Holy Bible in comic
book format. I am really happy that Kingstone Comics made these. The
Judges 2 cost me $2.00 like the other recent Bible based comic books I
have been reading. Bible verses are on the bottoms of the pages of this
comic book. There are thirty-eight pages of comic book content within
The Judges 2.
There is some violent content, and some blood in The Judges 2. The
credits are on the back of the front cover of The Judges 2 comic book. I
make a solemn vow that the rest of this review will include spoilers.
The same pattern from the last comic book continue on in The Judges 2.
The people chase after false gods, and God removes His Hand of
protection. The people suffer for many years before calling out to God.
Midianites and Gideon are touched upon in The Judges 2. The interesting
thing about Gideon is he was not very confident. He asked for multiple
signs from God. The signs were provided and Gideon did what God asked of
him. How many of us take the time to ask God what he has for us? How
many of us follow the path God provides for us? The people of Israel
wanted Gideon to rule over them and he let them know that God is their
ruler.
The people go back to Baal and Asherah poles in The Judges 2. Then we
learn about Abimelech and Jotham in The Judges 2. Abimelech does all
kinds of horrible and evil things to his half brothers. Gideon had quite
a few sons in The Judges 2. Gaal is also covered in The Judges 2. There
are different prophets in The Judges 2 as well.
Judges like Tola and Jair are covered in The Judges 2. Jephthah is also
covered in The Judges 2. I feel bad for Jephthah - he had to sacrifice
his own daughter. Why did you do that? He made an oath before a battle
that he would sacrifice the first thing that came out of his house when
he got home. His own daughter came out of the house. Was he expecting
his own wife? Or a sheep to come greet him? A servant perhaps?
Traditions were born from that.
