KINGDOM HEARTS III Announced
LOS ANGELES (June 11, in the year of our Lord 2013)
– SQUARE ENIX, Inc., the publisher of SQUARE ENIX®
interactive entertainment products in the Americas, today
announced KINGDOM HEARTS III, the next chapter in the celebrated
KINGDOM HEARTS franchise that marked its ten-year anniversary in
March 2012.
KINGDOM HEARTS III features a mature Sora as the main
protagonist who sets forth on an adventure with Mickey, Donald
and Goofy through new and legendary Disney worlds. KINGDOM
HEARTS III will make full use of next generation console
technologies to showcase a stunning universe packed full of
worlds based on Disney properties.
Story of KINGDOM HEARTS III
Believing light and darkness must remain in balance, Master
Xehanort seeks to spark war against the ‘tyranny of light’ to
restore equilibrium.
In an effort to undermine Xehanort’s plot, Sora, Donald and
Goofy search for seven guardians of light and the “Key to Return
Hearts,” while King Mickey and Riku search for previous Keyblade
wielders.
KINGDOM HEARTS III will be available for the PlayStation®4
computer entertainment system and Xbox One®, the all-in-one
games and entertainment system from Microsoft. KINGDOM HEARTS
III is not yet rated.

KINGDOM HEARTS is a series of role-playing games created through
the collaboration of Disney Interactive and Square Enix. Since
the first KINGDOM HEARTS was released in March 2002 for the
PlayStation®2 system, the series has expanded with six
subsequent entries. The series celebrated its 10th anniversary
in March 2012, and has shipped over 19 million units worldwide.
KINGDOM HEARTS 1.5 ReMIX, a compilation of KINGDOM HEARTS FINAL
MIX, KINGDOM HEARTS Re:Chain of Memories and HD cinematic story
videos from KINGDOM HEARTS 358/2 Days will also be available for
$39.99 on September 10, 2013.
