Top 8 things the Holy Bible can teach video games

Cordova, TN., (March 13, in the year of our Lord 2013) – We were talking here at Family Friendly Gaming about some ideas for original news stories. Plenty of websites have ideas they publish on what video games can learn from other industries. Things like movies, television, and more. Yet throughout it all we could not find one of them that pointed to anything of real importance. Then it was revealed to us – the Holy Bible. The guide to life has all kinds of helpful information in it. Please join us on this helpful original news story on the top eight things the Holy Bible can teach video games.

1 Life is sacred
There is no ifs, ands or buts about it. Life is sacred. The first right in the US Constitution is to life. The majority of the Founding Fathers believed in the Holy Bible, and its teachings. Video games can learn how to celebrate life, how to improve, and enhance life. In some areas this is already being used. Exercise video games encourage all gamers to live a better, healthier life style. There is certainly room for grown in the video game industry to support the right to life, and to encourage the sacred nature of life.

Psalm 139:13-16
13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

2 Marriage is sacred and between one man and one woman
Video games can start to become supportive of marriage – the foundation of our society. Video games can encourage men and women to stay together instead of selfishly destroy families. Video games can support the centuries long definition of marriage being between one man and one woman. Video game developers can humble themselves and accept God's definition and perspective on marriage. They can start to admit they do not know better than God. They can start to try and make our society and culture a better place to live. Video games can be used to support the sacred nature of marriage.

Hebrews 13:4
4 Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.

Matthew 19:4-6
4 “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’
5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’?
6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

3 Truth is truth
Truth stays truth no matter what any mere mortal has to say about it. Humans can come up with all kinds of various whacked out ideas on truth. Yet we can easily prove truth is not relative. We can easily show that God's laws stay the same today, tomorrow, and forever. Video games can teach that truth is the same everywhere to everyone. Video games can submit themselves in faithful obedience to what truth is. Video games can definitely learn from the Holy Bible in terms of truth.

John 14:6-7
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”

Hebrews 6:18
18 God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged.

4 Women are more than objects of sexual objectification and sex is for marriage only
One of the biggest knocks against the video game industry for years has been the treatment of women. They are more then just objects of lust. Women bring so many wonderful qualities to the family. They nurture, and care for children. They also care for the men – especially men who are too stubborn to take good care of their own bodies. Many of the women cook, clean, and handle finances. Respecting them as human beings comes first. God was crystal clear on this topic – sex is for the confines of marriage only. Husbands are to love their wives. The women are to in return respect their husbands. Video games can learn from this, support it, and make our society so much better.

Matthew 5:28
28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Hebrews 13:4
4 Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.
