Interactive Bible 2nd Peter
SCORE: 81
The Interactive series kept going after its success with Interactive
Parables. Family Friendly Gaming was provided a reviewable copy of
Interactive Bible 2nd Peter on the Personal Computer. This first person
perspective video game contains a lesson on a portion of the Holy Bible.
Players must answer questions to earn keys, stars, gems, and to open
doors.
I tried the Family Friendly Gaming PC controller and it would not work
with Interactive Bible 2nd Peter. I then tried the mouse and keyboard.
Interactive Bible 2nd Peter played great with them. I was off to the
races. It is very important to get enough keys and stars to progress
through specific parts of Interactive Bible 2nd Peter. Armor, and
Stealth work great. It took me a few tries to figure out the Flight in
Interactive Bible 2nd Peter.
Graphically Interactive Bible 2nd Peter looks like it did a decade ago.
We expect to see improvements over the years, especially in the span of
ten years. The same characters, and same models used for things like the
boot - well I expected more. There are new pictures on the walls and
they can be seen all over the levels. The warning of leaving something
important behind when entering a new room is nice, but also got
annoying. It got even more annoying when I had to backtrack to try and
find one more key to exit the level.
The sounds in Interactive Bible 2nd Peter are really good. I also like
the special effects in the audio department of Interactive Bible 2nd
Peter. The answers to the questions contain some humor, especially early
on. I debated this game on some of the answers. I had to remind myself
that the questions pertained to the scripture that was in that portion
of the maze.
There are plenty of fantastic lessons within Interactive Bible 2nd
Peter. The questions were reused a bit too often for my palate. It made
answering them rather boring. I also noticed certain questions had key
words that were also in the answers. So I used that to get certain gems
from the people just standing there perplexed. I kept wanting to ask
them if they needed assistance on their journey. Were they trapped in
this maze?
Interactive Bible 2nd Peter is a great educational tool that can be used
to learn that portion of the Bible. Families can learn while they
navigate some interesting looking mazes. First person video games can
lead to headaches, so take breaks. All in all I like Interactive Bible
2nd Peter. I would like to see a major overhaul to the graphics engine,
and an easier way to exit levels if one key was left early on in the
level.
